Repeat Dispensing or Prescriptions

The same arrangements apply in each case. Pills.PNG

You can place your order online, by telephone or by visiting in person. Please use the prescription repeat slip to advise us of your requirements. If you require your prescription form to be posted to you please enclose a SAE (self addressed envelope).

It is our aim to supply your repeat medication or prescription within two working days of receipt of your request. In the case of medication, this is dependent on obtaining your supplies from the wholesaler and we ask therefore, that you allow plenty of time before collection of your repeat order.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Please telephone the surgery if you have any problems or concerns.

For housebound patients, we offer a delivery service. You can leave your prescription request by calling the main surgery line and selecting the repeat prescription option any time of day or night.

Emergency Chemist If you run out of essential medication whilst the surgery is closed and require an emergency repeat prescription, please contact NHS 111.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

EPS enables prescribers, such as GPs and practice nurses, to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser (such as a pharmacy) of the patient's choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff.

To select a nominated pharmacy you can either:

  • ask a member of the surgery staff to add this to your record

or

  • go into the pharmacy of your choice and they can add this to your record
