Test Results
All test results must be viewed and actioned by a clinician before they will appear in your online record. Please note that we receive a high volume of these everyday and try to process them as soon as we are able.
Please do not contact us before 11am in regards to results as the phonelines are extremely busy with appointment requests.
The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
Urine Samples
If you believe you have a urinary tract infection, or need to provide a urine sample for any other reason, please discuss this with a medical professional or provide an accompanying symptom sheet before handing any samples to reception.
Please be aware that we are unable to collect or test urine samples after 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. This is because hospital collections cut off at 12:30, meaning that any samples received after that time would stay at the surgery over the weekend, and would no longer be considered viable for testing.
All urine samples must be within a sterile container, provided by the surgery or another healthcare organisation.
